Personally I measure the distance from firewall mount to prop driver, then measure how much off-line the prop driver is, and simple geometry (tangent) will tell me how many degrees that is.

gwinhh's data in post #2 is probably near-enough if you're not into geometry; and you probably don't need to be too precise about the actual numbers because, as others have posted, you may want to make adjustments when you find out how your model actually flies.

Ok...I think your wanting the "Cool Gizmo" solution

Heres what I do.

Easy enough to determine what suface you need to level your plane from, be it a nose section or side or tailfeather.

I use the cool little level to ....well.....level

Then your attached robart Incidence Meter will read out the degrees. Notice the cool little notch that I assume is for attaching said meter to motor

You should have ya one of these cool protractors (mentioned earlier )

If you have your plane stable and just wanna "check" you can hold this on the shaft.
