Finally got to do a quick test with the GPS. Had a light breeze but it holds better than I thought, running the height up and down to see if it moved much. As soon as I get it dialed in I'll try RTH.

Yes I have same radio. Thought you were using throttle hold to activate your fail safe. If so please make sure it is set to 20% throttle. This will make sure motors do not shutoff in the air!

I am now. See few posts above.

Thanks for the reminder to set Throttle curve to above 15%. I almost missed it as well.

I will take a look Thanks!!

Just did another test, lowered my V- gain to 120% and i had some heli LG on it, it still did it but not as bad, I had my TX in hand and switch it on before something bad happened, but it was much better this time...

Just read your post and that is quite ingenious to use Flight mode along with pitch curve to set different Control Mode! I'm going to do the same and I can free up my Gyro channel to control something else! Thanks for the tips!

Ok am sorry in advance but am still having an issue, I can now get my hex naza to enter fail safe by using the throttle hold and did the "preset bind" to save the transmitter settings with failsafe set but when I turn my transmitter off all it does on the DJI program is move my throttle to about 20-30% and stays in the mode I turned the transmitter off at, not failsafe.

Anyone send me in the right direction, recap

To get it to the failsafe region, you have to bind your TX/RX by sending that signal to NAZA. Do you know how to bind your TX/RX for failsafe?

@Martin: or maybe your RX support FailSafe on the Throttle channel only (AR6000, OrangeRX 6Ch...).

Yeah I thought it was turn on Receiver with bind plug installed, both leds should flash (one of receiver and one of Sat). Remove bind plug and set transmitter with switch layout which sets failsafe. Turn on Transmitter with bind button pushed until leds stop flashing and become solid.

I did the above but like I said when I turn off the transmitter the Naza only shows in the throttle setting of the throttle hold. Am I doing this wrong?

You must bind predetermined failsafe now.. You need a ar7000 rx with data/batt port or higher..

Power the rx with bind plug, now remove bind plug. Lights should still be blinking.
Now power your tx with throttle hold ON and pressing the bind.

Now recycle power and check again in the software. All stick should center and U channel should show fail safe
