I'm putting this servo all around (except the elevators, which I'm using a couple of digitals I had lying around). This is my all-time favourite EDF analog servo - tons 'o torque and fast enough. They hold the barn door elevons tight on my 200km/h 70mm Mirage. They're also much lighter than the new Coronas, with just a little bit less torque.

Turnigy 380MG Micro Servo (Metal Gear) 3.6kg / .15sec / 15.6g

If I want a digital servo, I'll use this one:

BMS-385DMAX Digital Servo (Metal Gear) 4.2kg / .15sec / 16.5g

And if I need a lot of torque for something like an all-flying stab, I'll use this one:

TGY-390DMH High Performance MG Digital Servo (Extra Strong) 5.4kg / .11sec / 22.5g

This is the elevator linkage I have made recycled raptor 50 flybar seesaw and blade grip ball the piano wire has brass sleeves soldered to the ends to increase the diameter and give the screws something to grip.16g so probably removing one servo has not saved weight but the tailplane and elevators will be clean.

I have modified the intake collector to fit the DPS 90mm fan. I cut two slits down 80% of the length of the collector, fit it over the fan and wrapped a couple of layers of fibreglass and un-diluted finishing resing. Seems very strong and it's a perfect fit! On to the ducting...

been thinking mine might get retracts after all as the wings already have the covering cutout and it should be able to cope with a bit more weight than the Hawk as wing area is 22% larger.

Thrust tube - the stock one clearly doesn't fit either my EDF nor the plane it came with. Replace it with mylar? Nope! Let's cut it and re-use it!

I split the tube from end to end, making it essentially a flat sheet. Since it's too large at the tail end, it will roll over itself just like mylar would. At the EDF end, there is a split where motor wires will exit the thrust tube, I'll clean up the holes with tape.

Test fit, and marking where to cut for the tail end:

Finished product!

Also was looking at that fan! 12 blades, 1900kv, on 8s,10s that would pull 200amps! 8s-10s with 12 blades, I would see more a 1200kv motor.

HobbyKing Daily - 90mm Alloy EDF Unit (2 min 22 sec)

Look like the fan in question: http://epf.com.tw/category.php?id=19
according to the site, 1600kv on 10s 120amp

I think you might be okay with those, Gaz-b. There is lots of room for longer legs, and the ones I have are probably a bit too short for scale. My wing tanks will have grass stains on them likely.
