Jack'ed Rabbit FC Config Tool development
Jack'ed Rabbit FC Config BETA 1.0.3 released.
Frame editor and FW update not available yet. .NET Framework 4.0 must be installed on your PC. Get it HERE Some are having issues with PC's running XP it seems. If you are running XP, update to Service Pack 3 and ensure .NET Framework 4 is installed. If you have trouble seeing the GPS maps, check your firewall and allow the application access to the internet. NOTE: The FC has a tendency to hang on serial comms. This is true with the original, as well as my config tool. To reduce the chance of hang ups, DO NOT use the USB cable that came with the FC, it is total JUNK. If you have no power to the FC other than through USB, DISCONNECT ALL accessory components, i.e. GPS, Sonar, Receiver etc. This is especially true when using a notebook/laptop as their USB ports can be limited on power available, they may even put them to sleep briefly in the middle of a send!!! However, I have mine connected to a laptop with a quality cable, with GPS, Rx and Sonar connected using only USB power and I rarely experience a hang up. I just done about 30-40 consecutive read/writes with no issues at all. The best solution is to use a quality USB cable, and external power. 1.0.4 Possible GPS fix for users east of the prime meridian. 1.0.3 Fixed Mix up with HEXA frame types. It would SEND the right type, but when reading it would show the wrong type. 1.0.2 Added swap for map coordinates Added FW detection for pre 1.212 compatibility. Changed the name to Jack'ed Rabbit < Thanks for the Idea Soup!!!! ImagesView all Images in thread |

Very cool work, looking forward to what you have planned.
I don't know if anyone knows about the neat little 'subscribe to thread' option under the thread tools. You don't have to post to subscribe to a thread... Just an Fyi. |

Made some headway on the new config tool today. Just some basic stuff. Only a few things actually work to send data to the FC at this point as I just done a few for testing until I get a nice layout together.
Rather than have everything on one screen and all crammed together, I decided to use a tabbed page system for most of the configuration stuff with a separate form that opens for data monitoring, firmware update, and custom frame geometry editor. Let me know what you guys think or have anything in mind. |

holy crap!!.....
that looks 1000 times better! all looks very clear! maybe you could make a screen for gps once they make it show in the gui you are already ready for that. (i'm still waiting for my rabbit though, but been checking out the "obsolete" program.) |

A bluetooth adapter can be soldered in however, but this would only be short range. Would be good for wireless configuration though. |
