DownUnder - I did some static this morning with your 7x10 folders. Using a 50mm spinner they come out to be 7.5x10's which is good (little more torque). Using a Thor
45C 3300 6S I got 4.6KW at 228amps STATIC. Will get you in flight data soon as that is the only thing that really matters! Not much time left snow in the forcast!

I am actually really slow
Few more pics of the 8x13, I have some different carbon coming soon that I will be using for them but this one will be adequate to do some testing on. Settled on a layup using over 10m of 12k tow! Weighs in around 16.4g which is under my target weight, so all happy there. Came out perfectly balanced.

Next up is the 7x10's

Thanks man! That one will be coming to you hopefully sometime this week.

For a balancer I use a small diameter hardened threaded shaft with two tapered thumb screws on each end that center the prop once tightented. Then I place each end of the shaft on a wine glass aaand thats it. Works better then any ball bearing supported balancer ive used. Havnt used one of those magnetic balancers before though so Im not sure how my method compares to that.

OK, sounds like you get it pretty close.
I use a magnetic balancer, and they are not easy to use .............. I mean, they are easily used, but it takes forever to balance some props ............... very repetetive.

If I had to do some lightening to balance better, would I sand away, or add something to these gems ?

Definitely don't add anything, then you run the risk of whatever you add coming off. I normally just get some 240grit paper and take material off the top surface off the blade till its balanced. Then hit it with some 800, then 1200, then 2000, then polish. If you take your time you wont notice its been sanded.

I'm sure other people have different methods but that's mine. If you really wanted to get serious you can balance the hubs aswell, I normally don't worry about that though. Most of the time I pull them out of the moulds and use them!

Voodoo, any idea how much power you want to run through the 7x10? I have two 7x10's ill be doing, one for F5D and one for F3S.

Estimated power ratings for each

F5D 7x10 - 2kw
F3S 7x10 - 5+ kw

Which one you need man?

Thought I'd share something I played around with this arvo, it's a cast 8x13... Not something I would use on anything but interesting anyway. I'm looking into different production methods and this is something I tried.

Is it usable? Yes, on low power
Stronger then an APC? Not sure as its only been cureing for 3 hours! (forced it to cure under heat as I wanted to see results!)
