Flew it today....great plane and yes the landing gear is really stable, I slammed it down twice really hard....the third landing also ended in a flip over and the rudder broke of, but just minor scratches

I have to practice practice practice

I hope you were not hit too bad by the hurricane, we lost a lot of stuff. We just got parts in, though, for this plane, if you need some email us.

Oh well...

Any guesses on a replacememt three blade prop?
This -4 could be changed to a -1A with one.

Also, the Parkzone mid-1943 decals (Red border national insignia) and some acrlyc paints (white n light blue) would convert the Korean War (or more precisely 1990's warbird) trim scheme into a WWII bird. The decals are a bit large for the Parkzone Corsair (IMHO) and should be about right on this one. The pilot is in WWII gear already.

And - yes Mr. Merlin - full flaps could be accomplished with a little effort. Just sayin'.

I like this version the best. Lets face it, the landing gear appear to be the best out there (that don't) cost more than the plane itself.

What do ya'll think???

I looked at these as a platform for a MrRCSounds system, but an email to Unique Models showed no UK or European distributor. That's a real shame, as this seems the best Corsair in this size range to me. Given the Durafly and PZ are both that bit too small for a comfortable sound system install (plus the PZ seems to have some serious retract issues), Dynam it is...

You can get it shipped to you anywhere. We haven't set up the website for UK shipping yet, but drop me a note for a shipping quote if you haven't already ordered!

I am very close to ordering this plane. I agree that the landing gear looks to be a good solution for me, since I don't have access to a paved runway and would prefer not to hand launch a plane of this size by myself (and I don't think my EDF bungee would work out!)

However, I've read some comments on the web regarding a tendency for this plane to tip stall? It does give me a moment of pause, wondering if this airframe does have some bad manners....
