No but if you wanted to change the way your brushless fits into your motor pod then yes, you can purchase one. Keep in mind its not required as your kart is setup is just fine the way it is........

So how do I know if I have a shim or not? I'm not sure as recently bought my kart not even a month ago.

What I gather its going to be a option. No one needs it. Its up to you if you want buy one and install it.

Well if you run a brushless motor in mod class then eitherway you need a spacer, wrap or shim. The shim is just a much better way I think.
