Only 40 gramms.

Are you using the NEX Video out as a FPV monitor for ground station viewing? If so how well does this work?

Is there any time lag or other problems such as the image freezing or dissapearing?

Does the video out signal work when the NEX is not recording?

I am considering using an NEX 5N for FPV and photo / video if it is OK for the job.

Thanks...

May well be leading you astray here but ... I would imagine it would be near impossible to fly the machine from the stabilized nex-5 as your fpv camera (as well as filming). If working correctly, the view through the camera will be so disconnected from the motion of the frame that it would be impossible to put in the correct controls?? If the video feed were purely for aiming the camera ... should work fine, but not for fpv.

Its for aiming the camera and while maintaining visual flight on the multi. The time lag would be a problem I guess. I got the idea when I saw the mini HDMI to composite adaptor - but I dont see the point if its not close to real time.

Real time High Definition FPV would be fun -

Nex 5n does not give live feed while filming? I do understand that you will have a couple of seconds black screen if you take a photo but does this apply to video as well?

I was thinking less of the time lag but rather more of the fact that what the camera see's is not what the frame is doing. Would be very difficult to fly fpv off a camera that is not giving you indications of the quads true attitude in flight.

You mean there will be 2 seconds latency? Well that might cost some heads it's a an easy choice... Go for it hahaha

Yes I get your point now. So the choice would be between having the FPV to cue the camera - FPV mounted on the gimbal.

OR

FPV on the frame - which gives better feedback for control. So obvious but I had not thought of it like that before.

You mean the credit is not from the STEADICAM MINI 650? The credit is because of adding with GPS?

What is unclear ?
When you see a multicopter flying hovering stable in a small area, how much % is for you each of the following: the pilot, the FC, the frame, the motors and props ?

7 weeks already, still somewhere on way from China (tracking shows that it left China @09.27, but no other records).
