80% could be a bit of an embellishment

To give comparison, I was known for having 80-100% Expo

I use large rates though, so if you look at the movement curve, it is still similar to having low rates and no expo.

I now lower rates and less expo

Alex, can you confirm dates? I am going to book some flights. Is it first or second week of December? I am going to have my house warming the alternative week.

Hi Rob, look back through the thread. Question has been answered at least three times.

No set dates. People are comiong and going. Check who you want to meet and fly with, and book saome dates around their posted dates in this thread. People are coming and going all Dec.

The Wellington Palmy crew will be there from the 8th to the 16th. I see others will be there before, after and same time as us

Just about to sort out my box, looking to use an aluminum foam composite like alucobond. Box will be 1700x450x500 with total weight of about 8kg.

Main issue has been the bat and Tipan wings as they require a wide box. For others that have done similar trips before is this box a reasonable size or to big

Should be OK John. They seem to be mainly interested in the length. That's a very big girth however. The box I took to the USA was 2100 x 370 x 370. Gee you'll be doing well if you can make a box of that size for 8kg with an aluminium material!

Is that 8kg empty? Mine is 1650x180x350 out of 7mm corrugated cardboard, and weighs 2.5kg
Will only take 2 planes. So my all up weight will be not more than 10kg.

Yes empty, just about to order a sheet. It is a 2mn aluminum foam composite sheet 0.30mm aluminum with panel weight of 2.9kg/m2. So will now be 10kg

Mick

Big issue is the getting the bat to fit

That box will be nothing compared to my one Mick, it will be 1.9 by however wide it needs to be and about 1.1 high. Painful hey!

Do any of you locals know a cheap car rental place in ChCh? The one I could locate from here will cost $52 for a Nissan Station wagon in December.
