I have 12 flights on the Slick now, it flys great. It does some crazy tumbles, and poptops.

I received the Carbon Fiber Spinner from Aerobeez, here's a picture of it on the Slick. It looks great and is really light.

Looks great. Thinking about buying one as well. One question... The color looks kinda pink vs red. Is that just your camera, or is she a pale red?

It's bright red. My camera is giving me some trouble.

I have 30 flights on the Slick now. It's doing great, I really like how it flys. I have done every manuever that I can think of and it's holding up fine. I hope to have a video up soon.

Can you comment on the general quality of the components of the kit? What are your thoughts on the durability of the key parts like the landing gear, wing tube and tail wheel assembly?

thanks

Both my Aerobeez Yak 55m and Slick are holding up well. The Yak has over 100 flights on it and the Slick has over 30 flights. No complaints so far. I have flown them very hard. Here's some videos.

Very nice review - I am about ready to push the button on this one!
Question:
How was the quality of the parts and hardware components?
Covering job (China cote?), fit of various parts, finish on cowl and wheel pants, etc?? Quality wood?
Thanks!

It's covered in monokote. I have flown it as hard as possible and it's held up great. I'm very happy with it.

Just spotted this thread as I was about to buy one of these. Were you able to figure out who manufactured this ARF? I haven't had any luck tracking down the mfr. Doesn't appear to be any of the usual suspects: GW, EG, Flymodel, etc.

Does it have aluminum reinforcing brackets on the LG plate and firewall?

Thanks for the great review.

Yes both my Yak and Slick have the alum. angle pieces that the landing gear bolts go through. I have hundreds of flights on both planes and they're holding up great. I'm thinking about ordering the 50cc Edge.

Any idea on the AUW on your Slick? I'm hoping to keep the build at or below 16.5lbs with a 16oz fuel tank.
