Help with ESC selection and ESC programming
Hi all , I am new to RC world and have a few basic questions.
I am selecting some ESCs for quadcopter on hobbyking.
Q1) Whats the difference between the following ESCs (Except current capacity) :
Q2) Here are 2 same ESCs with diff branding (seems like it)
When you go to link 1 (Mystery 30A ESC Blue Series) there is a text at bottom of description which says "
This ESC is also sold as: HobbyKing BlueSeries." The price diff is about $2. Why is this so ? I m confused.
Q3) About ESC programming.
Are all ESCs programmable or only select ones ? Is there any other method for programming ESCs except using programming cards?
Q4) Are most of the ESCs made up of similar components ? Whats the Difference between a "Branded" ESC and a "Cheap" ESC ?
Q5) About Reponse of ESCs to control signal.
Here's what I know about ESC control : ESC uses the same control pulses that is used by servos (PWM : 0.5ms to 2.5ms). Hence motor speed can be controlled by same signal.
1)So do ESCs respond to the full range that is used by Servos i.e from 0.5ms to 2.5ms?
2)Some cheap chinese servos dont respond well to signal and deviate from their actual position. So is this the same case with "Cheap" ESCs too ? Do ESCs require calibration like that for servos ?
