Binding your XtremeLink® system

Here is a step-by-step guide for binding your XtremeLink® system:

Always start any binding procedure by turning off your transmitter and power off all receivers.

Binding 8 and 10 channel receivers and RFU:

  • Power off ALL receivers and the transmitter.
  • Apply power to your receiver.
  • When the receiver's LED is flashing RED, press and hold the programming button on the receiver or RFU until the LED turns GREEN, and then release the programming button. The LED will now flash orange, indicating it is in binding mode.
  • Press and hold the button labeled PROG on your transmitter module while turning on the power to your transmitter. If you are using an internal module (like an EVO or Profi), press and hold the button on the board while turning on the power.
  • Wait for the LED on the transmitter module (or internal board) to turn green and release the button.
  • The units will immediately bind.
  • The LED on the transmitter module (or internal board) will now be green.
  • The LED on the receiver will now be green.
  • Power off the transmitter and receiver.
  • They are now ready to be used.

Binding a single Nano receiver:
  • Power off ALL receivers and the transmitter.
  • Apply power to your receiver.
  • When the receiver's LED is flashing, attach the jumper (provided with your receiver) to the port labeled "B" (binding/battery). Leave the jumper on until the LED turns solid, then remove the jumper. The LED will now be flashing fast, indicating it is in binding mode.
  • The LED on the receiver will now be off.
  • Power off the transmitter and receiver.
  • They are now ready to be used.

Binding multiple Nano receivers:
  • Power off ALL receivers and the transmitter.
  • Apply power to the first receiver.
  • When the receiver's LED is flashing, attach the jumper (provided with your receiver) to the port labeled "B" (binding/battery). Leave the jumper on until the LED turns solid, then remove the jumper. The LED will now be flashing fast, indicating it is in master binding mode. Note that the master receiver is the last receiver to be put into binding mode!
  • ALL slave receivers must be put into slave binding mode. To do that attach the jumper for two seconds and remove the jumper. This will make the LED turn solid red, indicating the receiver is in slave binding mode. Repeat this process for all slave receivers. Leave only one receiver in master binding mode (the last one).
  • The LED on all receiver will now be off.
  • Power off the transmitter and receiver.
  • They are now ready to be used.

Binding multiple RFU receivers:
  • Power off ALL receivers and the transmitter.
  • Apply power to the first RFU.
  • When the RFU's LED is flashing red, press and hold the programming button until the LED turns green, then release the programming button. The LED will now be flashing orange, indicating it is in master binding mode. Note that the master RFU is the last RFU to be put into binding mode!
  • ALL slave RFUs must be put into slave binding mode. To do that, first put the RFU into master binding mode as described above. Then press and hold the programming button again for two seconds and release the button. This will make the LED turn solid orange, indicating the RFU is in slave binding mode. Repeat this process for all slave RFUs. Leave only one RFU in master binding mode (the last one).
  • The LED on all RFUs will now be green.
  • Power off the transmitter and RFUs.
  • They are now ready to be used.
