HoverflyGIMBAL - Input Voltage? Manual?
Hi -
I'm trying to get a jump on lining up the rest of my gimbal situation while waiting for the HoverflyGIMBAL to arrive. What is the input voltage range of the board and what voltage does it output to the servos? It would be great if it accepted greater than 12V and let you step down the output to servos and radio receiver separately. My wireless video transmitter downlink is 12V so if I could power the whole gimbal/servos/video off one battery...perrrrfect! Is there a manual out for the Gimbal yet? |

that is a good question.
really 7.4 would be ideal since many high end gimbal servos are brushless and need HV... I am guessing it is 6v but we will see what Al or George say. |

The manual is coming....
The input power to the gimbal is what ever your servos will need. There is a little solder jumper on the board for <6V or >6V. It comes from us set to 6 volts and greater because most gimbal servos use either 6V or 7.4V. It will be best to use a UBEC such as the one from Castle Creations set to what your servos need. |
