HK EPP-FPV embed servos in tail?
I am currently building an HK EPP-FPV and I am seriously considering embedding the rudder and elevator servos into the tail. This would get them off of the carbon fiber tube and out of the way during landing, it would also shorten the control rods by a considerable amount and reduce control rod flex to almost non existent.
However, I see two potential problems:
1. The servo extension wires would be very long, running from the tail of the plane all the way to the front. Would this be a problem?
2. Further weight in the tail of an airplane that is already tail heavy. Although the benefit is more FPV gear up front!!!
Any thoughts? Bad idea?
