Taco II Build FINALLY FINISHED!!!
Well, I finally got around to finishing the Taco II that I framed up about 6 months ago. Here's a link to the previous thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...hreadid=110270
I've been very busy and never got around to covering the plane until now. I covered it in Solite. The AUW is 28.5 oz. using:
4 HS-55 servos
Phoenix 25 ESC
Berg 5 DSP
9-cell 1100mah HECELL batteries
I could have made it about 10 oz. lighter, maybe even more, my landing gear alone weighs 3 oz. . I built the plane exactly to specs, which was designed for a glow engine, and used heavier balsa. I could have built lighter, but I wanted to have it be able to withstand a few crashes since this will be the plane I will polish up on 3D/hovering/etc..
Well here's some pictures.
No flight report or video yet. I just finished installing everything today. I might not be able to give a flight report for about a week. Look what I woke up to today on the Colorado/Wyoming border It was in the 70's yesturday.
