Apart front that I like it, doesn't have the keel arrangement of the Fredy which was a weak point.
Would prefer a 1 piece wing.
My destiny doesn’t have flaps and I have never seen one that has. Mine is a touchy model to DS compared to the other models that I have but perhaps my set up is not correct.

I agree, the Fredy was easy to land with spoilers... Except on the front on the skirrid in a hoolie with full ballast. Flaps are a must.

Carbon Destiny (if you can get one) is a well-made single-piece 2-servo wing with excellent spar which DSes very well.

They're certainly twitchy if built with the supplied horns, but will handle far better with geometry improved by installation of taller home-made horns.

Still plenty enough spoiler action for landing - inc. on the backside at Skirrid.

That's gotta be the toughest Destiny ever.
Alan and Bruce both DS Sunbirds.
I think they mentioned something about 160 being a comfortable speed limit.

Realistically, 160 is unreal for a cheap glass 60"- more than enough to be scary!

Finally got round to editing some footage of the Point Fermin race when Alex, Jarred and I were there during our 2012 Socal DS Safari. This is a great snapshot of Fermin on a really good day. The wind was 42knots at times, and Kyle Paulsen recorded the fastest ever time at Fermin but it didn’t count because it was done from a “fly past” launch! Sun, sea, wind and boys with their fast toys. There’s some really nice flying in this video. Fermin is a real experience. And there’s some nice Scratcho footage at the end too!

Fermin F3F race 15 April 2012 (12 min 0 sec)
