Hi guys
I have now got my control surface cutting machine to a point where I can use it, that is definitely going to be a work in progress, I will slowly improve change things as I am going along but at least now I have got something I can use.

Great video Kev
I find these pretty good for cutting wings. The diameter doesn't keep changing as they wear like the fibre ones. May help with the kevlar side ?? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3285...4ba54c4dq0GFr4 there are many different sizes and they are cheap ! Jono |

Very impressive!! That will make perfect cuts every time!!
I have to admit I cringed while you were cutting without wearing a mask or proper eye protection. Please, please wear a proper respirator mask, full face shield, and I’d wear a full shop apron and long sleeves too that both stay in the shop so the dust doesn’t follow you in the house. I’d do all that even with a vacuum system that sucks up most of the dust. Please be safe… and thanks for sharing the awesome work!! Rick … who once did all that too but doesn’t feel as immortal as he once did… lol!! |

Deepend centre panel what's that doing there? Wooden gizmos are waiting to be resurrected, as you can tell by the dust on them being there for some time. |

Cool story I wanted to share....
Last month I was at Weldon flying with Bruce it was getting pretty windy.....anyway he says "Get in the cah" we throw the planes in and off we went to the top of Weldon.... If you have never been up there it's quite intimidating especially the back side which is about 1000' of boulders too steep to climb which stretches out to a field below So Bruce flies the f60 then I fly the Virus did I say its hairy up there! Both successful flights then Bruce decided to chuck it again but suddenly the wind changes.... He hits the backside and gets sucked down......way down then he finds a little lift a few hundred feet down the back side but it Peter's out The green f60 is gettin real small now we lose sight of it 3-4 different times smaller and smaller We spot it and he makes a perfect landing 1000 feet down ! Lo and behold a coyote comes out of nowhere to sniff it out then runs off Cool story I wanted to share Steve |

Here’s the full video. Yeah yeah, only a year late
It’s back flying, and just finishing a full strip and recover. Huge thanks to Thomas Brown and his dad for donating a new wing from their crashed one

Classic failure to transfer load from bullet proof carbon to other bullet proof carbon via wood.
Can be done, but better engineering needed. Don't pull up! -David |

The squabbling that caused this story sounds familiar....
