Have you thought about the heat? With sun shining on your black plastic boxes, it's gonna cook stuff inside.

Interesting you say that, as while GPS holding my hexa with AHRS-P and AutoPilot whilst overcast, when the sun shone thru the clouds, the hexa drifted upwards, as if the heat on unit cause barometric change. Black for me anyway.

I live in WA state, While we have some really nice summers here, there's more overcast days during the year than there are full on summer sun days.

To be honest though, I'd prefer black, but silver is just fine as well. I want whats inside

At this stage I would be happy if it's not just an 'empty' black box:-)

Please correct me if I am wrong.

A Chinese friend translated some stuff for me.

4 waypoints around a 30 meter area
Follow me 20 sec duration
Gimbal lock 10 sec duration
Max altitude 80 meters

I find the features just demo of what can be had if you pay up.
Because this is coming from a new product and not established as DJI I find the identical prices too expensive!

I read from the other thread that they have different version for the chinese market. Local/ chinese users paid for the kit cheaper than us outside china but their basic kit has more feature restrictions. The waypoint stuff should be 4 points within 100 meters. Not sure what else is different.

yeah not too keen on all of these restrictions. What is the point of follow me if you can only do it for 20 seconds? Or ground lock if only for 10 seconds?

that's like offering gps lock on the craft, but only for a minute. It becomes a gimmick rather than a usable feature.

Remove these ridiculous restrictions, or extend them out heaps. I was soo keen on this system but I'm not going to buy it if it's restricted like this.

Well, there is another thread that explains different versions of this product that you could have "Extended" range and features and "unlimited" range with their PRO or Enterprise version. But it will cost more.

Here is the other thread, but you need to do some readings towards the end.
Hope this helps.

+1.... was really thinking this was the new thing too... even starting to think that WKM would just be a plug in and say go unit for the zenmuse and would have this baby actually flying my multi..... but after seeing this silly list of restrictions ill pass until they get their act together.

TNTJET,

Are you testing these units? If yes, can you share your thoughts about this FC? Flight modes like RTH, auto-landing, GPS hold etc?
