Noob quad queries

Hi I been flying a tricopter for a while and am now going to build a quad however I need some real basics on the set up like do I wire the motors up different to get opposit rotation ? What size props should I use arms are 500 mm long from centre ? And can I wire 2 separate battery packs together to give longer flight time many thanks any links to the answers would be great cheers

Yes if quad is set-up in + mode, then front and back motors turn in one direction and the 2 side motors turn in the opposite direction. Look at firmware to see which 2 are CW and which 2 are CCW.
I used 10 x 4.5 on my 500mm, but I think I should have used 11 x 4.7.
Yes you can wire 2 batteries in parallel, but you will not get double the flight time because of the added weight. It will take more power to hover. I used 2 3S 2200 20C batteries in parallel and didn't like the loss in power.

When you say "dk750 motor" do you mean dt750 if so, that is what I am using with 10 x 4.5 cheap ebay props and tricopter weight is 860 grams. It hovers at about 55% to maybe 60%. 11 x 4.5 should work great on these motors.
