Most of the De Havilland designs seems to have a sort of harmony in their proportions. The Comet is just plain pleasure for the eyes.

The logical next step would be the next number in the line, the DH-89 Dragon Rapide, or the Dominie as the battle dressed version was called. That's a model you don't see every day. (Maybe HobbyKing could change that...)

Will be great to see one of these in the flesh,

Interested to see how the retracts handle a grass field too.

Hi guys
As i have said i am very keen on this plane but looking at the specs again i am concerned about the wing loading

seams a little high, she wont be a floater for sure

really looking forward to the first customer reviews and flight videos.
Its my wedding anniversary in about 6 weeks so a few unsubtle hints to the wife might be in order!!

Cheers all

Ben

I went with a different project and used up my funds. This ones going to have to wait until late fall. At least there will be some good flight reports by then. Good luck boys!

I have always loved this plane and this model looks sweet.

I'd be on board in a second, but I want to see some landings on grass. Great field at my club, but not putting green short and this comet's wheels look small--hope it can handle grass.
