You have to hang them by the prop or that will happen. http://twistedhobbys.com/VFS-System-VFS.htm

They have great motors and i think you can even run the 9'' prop on 3s! I think SDone had the motrofly on it in his video.
So was there a problem with the bearings on the crack motor? Mine started making what I think are bearing rattling noises, so I took it off and put a different one on. I figured I cooked it with my non-stop flying on 3S (8x4.3 prop). I was going to try putting some bearing oil to see if the noise goes away, but have been happy with the replacement motor. It's not as energetic as the crack motor, being 100kv less, but it runs a lot cooler, and allows me to run 3S non-stop until I crash and have to fix something (been going through props like bubble gum lately).

Yeah they are going to have bulkier bearing now i believe. They posted about it a while ago. When they get them back in stock they should be even better than before. I would like to try that motrofly though.

Thanks - good to know.

The motrofly motor is great on 3S with an 8x4.3 prop. I don't like it on 2S with a 9x4.7, though - had to go with a 10" prop before I thought it had enough thrust (10x4.7, I think), and it got warm, but not hot, with non-stop flying.

That's $2 more expensive than a 20C 2S 500 mah Sky Lipo, which has worked well for me.

After going with gear on Pitts #2 I would have been better off without it. Just something more to rip off when I fly to close to pallets.

Yeah I've got a bag of popcorn waitin for a new vid from cdee.

I have the gear on so I can do inverted approaches, half roll to landing.
