Same here, i cant make it, got kids tea to cook. I did get 4 packs off with the Pitts in the park. Boy, was it cold, my fingers nearly dropped off.
Blimmin windy too, but the pitts loved it, about 8-10mph. Its my high wind foamie now...

Did the same today too. Didn't think it was that cool till the breeze made my fingers numb. It came to a screeching halt when a good gust caught the Pitts and planted it up top of the building at work. Note to self stop flying when that happens. Got the plane down and called it a day.

Finally got my plane, electronics etc ready to build and started looking at the manual, build info here and the video on TH site.. The video splits the horizontal fuselage and the manual splits the vertical. Not sure which is better/easier any opinions???

I seen that on the videos, though I wonder how straight it would be. I did both my Pitts like the manual and it worked better to me. Think it comes down to preference some build one way while others build another. Big thing is to build it true and straight. Happy flying.

Never thought of the Pitts as a high wind foamie. I took this this weekend when the rain fianlly stopped, but it was 10mph. So it was fly or no fly so i flew. I was surprised at the pitts, the crack yak would of been a real handful in that amount of wind.

On 2s.

Fun with Twisted Hobbies Crack Pitts (4 min 17 sec)

3s makes it come alive jimbo.

Had some good flying weather this morning, which made me happy been a month since I got any stick time. Both the Piits and Yak got airtime, Slick needed some repairs to the wing. The Pitts is still going strong even with all I've put it through. The time to replace her is coming though.

Nice flying and vid jimbo.

One thing about that kind of wind you get some interesting flying. At least that's how it's been here. Seems the wind hate me as much as I hate the wind.

So i took the pitts out for a maiden today, just wouldn't turn correctly fly's good but had to do some work on ailerons, i think i finally got them loose enough now, will try again in the morning Anyone know how to make adjustable rods that go between wings ? Was thinking about threaded rods with a plastic horn connector on each end ?
