Roll off rack

Today I got out the parts from MBH for the roll off racks for the torpedos. Each finished rack weighs 20 grams. Not very heavy. The racks provide a good overall layout of a MK1 launcher. It did not take very long to assemble one of these units. I do have a plan from Coastal Forces that shows this type of launch rack. Lets take a look.

Make the changes. Or you will most likely regret not doing so later on.

Guys I am away from my shop this week. I am posting this from Moscow. I would never have thought I would be walkimg around Red Square and seeing the sights. My wife is here for a meeting with the Russian space people and NASA sent her so I went along. This is a strange conflict in what can been see now as opposed to the old Soviet days. I have never seen so many "Super Cars" moving at high speed on city streets as I have seen in Moscow. There are lots of beautiful long legged ladies too.

I'm stealing Kmots famous demand "pictures, we want pictures" . But since you can't have your PT boat with you, pics. of the long legged ladies would do,OBWs demand.
Can I get a show of hands on that????
Enjoy,OBW

Foo, She told me it has not come up in the meetings. She is at the Energia rocket offices here in Moscow. All the ISS partners are here too. Found some American beer at the local store so all is well in my world. Cost is 56 rubels a can which is about 2 bucks USA. I found that the toilet paper could also be used as fine sandpaper.....:-)

You know that ELCO PT-731 through PT-760 were sent over to the USSR on lend-lease. I've never heard anything about these PT's. Wonder is any still exist, or if there is any recorded history of them over there.

Roll off racks

I got the small curved sections of the rack that pivot cut out. I fit them to the lower racks to check for fit. Getting all 32 parts to be the same and to fit together properly has turned out to be a little more difficult than I expected. It sure would have been better to cast a single master

Roll off racks

I finished doing all the parts for the side frames today. Looking at photographs I noticed that the base of the roll off rack is on a bevel. The PT Boat deck has a crown and this bevel is used so that the rack is level.
