It was great to be there for the maiden. When it locks it looks rock solid! I had a great look over the plane and man super impressive the build qualitiy is out of this world. I rekon she should be on display in a fine art gallery, just beautiful

Nice flying Alex! Thanks for posting the video.

Really is hard (impossible!) to see the yellow plane with that background... Looks like it was being backlit too by the sun making it even worse. If you're ambidextrous with DS, maybe it would be better flying reversed circuits and standing on the other side so the sun is at your back? I'm guessing an all white plane would show up great at that site. You may consider adding white to the tips and between the black stripes. I've done this on a couple of planes now and it really pops.

Had a couple of hours spare this morning before Cricket, so made a quick trip to Cass.

30-35mph winds and managed to crank out a 298 with it. Sh*t this model is fast!!!

Tried really hard for the 300, but model is light and was really rough air.

Got video again, so will upload tonight hopefully

Where is the inspiration

Hey Guys
Good to see some k2M Action.
hope to follow soon

Quick question,

How much movement are you lads getting out of the MKS 6126 glider servo?
I am getting about 90.

That is with a Futaba 9C transmitter, setting the end points to 130%, I have put an offset in to make the servo travel all go one way so I wont have any up flap.
when on full movement if I move the ailerons, travel doesn't increase, which makes me think I am getting all I can get out of the servo, or is this a limitation of my transmitter.

I'll be very interested in the response to Will's post.

I've always used Futaba TXs & invariably find servo rotation is substantially less than specified, whatever make of servo.

Will,

I have also found that the MKS seem to have limited travel

I open the MKS out (Electronically) to approx 120, but only on my flap servos.

Will,

If you could get more movement would you still lock them out on your Kinetic?

Great piloting, as ever, Alex.

The K2mDP appears very quiet at speed - a good sign no doubt.
Or is that impression flawed?

Fantastic--very consistant laps love the high level of flying as well as searching for more energy. Wonderful to watch----keep up the great video's

Great vids and excellent flying as always Alex. That thing banged so hard! Looked like it was on rails at times.

What is the AUW? I'm working on my light one so it will be interesting to see the difference.

Not sure on weight. Have no scales.

It is a dry heavy airframe as far as I am aware. I have no added weight to it
