I have said this before and until I see some proof I will keep on saying it --

150C discharge rate is a bold face Lie.

Maxamps has been advertising 150C batteries for a while.

I really think this is exactly why the battery industry gets a bad rap for inflated discharge rates.

Ok, calling your bluff here.

If "True 150C" is not simply extreme manufacturer hyperbole, what exactly does it mean? e.g. - Please post a link to the testing that was performed to justify such or at least a semi-technical description of the testing. Heck, I would even be satisfied with a layman's definition of "True 150C".

As of now, industry recognized experts consider this rating to be an absolute joke.

While pointing to 'reviews from happy customers' lends some credibility to the quality of the product, it does absolutely nothing to justify the obviously ridiculous rating.

Or even just tell us how you manage to get 975 amps through 12 ga wire. Even if it is "Genuine Deans" wire.

Maybe you've been in marketing so long you've actually started to believe your own BS.

60 min in an hour / 150C rate =0.4 min or 24 seconds. Who honestly believes a LiPoly can deliver 90% or so of its' rated capcity in 24 seconds. while maintaining any decent per cell voltage?


Last LiPolys I tested from a mostly car / truck vendor were SMC and the looked great for 30 flights but non made it to 100 cycles. Typical of many we are the greatest Lipolys ever made. Only available from us as we are very close friend on the manufacturing plants owners.

Please post a link to a 6.5 Ah X 150 = 975 amps. and / or a 5.45Ah X 120= 654 A discharge graph.

Who manufactures a ESC that can handle 600 to 1,000 maps. for more than 2 seconds and if they exist how much do they cost?

but of course, one has to be 'king' on this subject

It's gotta be burst...cars, esp. 1/8 scale truggies/monster trucks can have a very high initial startup current. my friend's truggy's esc has a max burst current of 2000 amps for like .1 seconds.

A simple calculation shows that if the leads are just over 4" long, the heat dissipated in them would be half a Kilowatt!

Similarly, if the pack is to survive, the cell IR needs to be less than about 50micro-ohms, ie 0.05 milliohms. Is it?

You are fortunate that ours is not a mainstream activity. If it were, your outfit would have been shut down long ago for misleading advertising, false statements and claims, and many other such things.

It would be much appreciated by many here if you would confine your BS to those certain places where your target audience is more likely to lack the knowledge, information, and common sense to recognize your company and products for what they are. Here, you just come across as silly.
