The Sportster is dope and tissue painted with spray bombs! The S-1 is yellow Monokote overall and blue Rustoleum with white pinstriping. I got a habit of doing intricate paint jobs. That way if they crash,,,they look good going down!!!

Serviceable "utility grade" doped finishes aren't really all that difficult. Most of your time is spent sanding and waiting for the previous coat to dry. If there's inside corners involved, and you want to avoid dope bubbles, the wait/drying time increase considerably as you'll be doing one side of the corner, let that dry, then do the other so they're not trying to shrink at the same time.
