servo crazy with throttle over 60%

Hi there , i have a problem with my aileron servo (nearly crashed today) when i power my heli and give 60% throttle the aileron servo glitches and the arm goes all the way up
Thought it was the serco but it isn't. I tried it on a servo tester and worked fine, tried it on the heli without the motor connect with it and goes good. It does it only with the motor running at 60%..Any ideas??

Gyro vibration maybe. You might want to post what heli...

put it under load on your servo tester and see the result. gyro wont have anything to do with it. for some reason either the receiver is telling it to go to 100% or maybe even the travel limit in the radio is set wrong. is most likely a bad servo.

reverse both aileron servos and then switch them on the receiver and see if the problem stays on the same side..

i have a hk 450 with a turnigy 2215 motor tower pro 40 amp heli esc htx900 servos on the ciclic and goteck 9650bb n the tail
I don't think that the servo is the problem, i tried it on a servo tester and on the heli without motor on and it works perfect, the endpoints are fine, i inverted the aileron servo (the one that have the problem) with the elevator one on the recever (swaped channels) and it doesn't do the same thing but then all the 3 ciclic servos go a bit mad.

could it be the bec on the esc??

The only reason I mention servo is that on the Walkeras you can mess with the servo during binding and then it acts screwy like that. If you are swapping servos and not getting the effect then a screwed up servo is a likely cause.

what ESC you use? how about battery size and C rating. Any sign battery puff. Do u try and test /w another battery.

battery seems good, the esc is a towerpro h40a with a 25c 2200 lipo

Are you by chance useing a spectrum RX? It might be that you have a static problem--

how far is rx from ESC. may be interference. try to move rx further away from ESC and test. some rx rquire at least 3cm apart while others may require more.

no, i'm using a frsky reciever, the esc is really far from the rx they are on the opposit, really don't know what it is, i think i'm going to get a new servo just incase and a new esc..i'm really thinking of the bec..is there some method to get the bec of the esc and so i can use a battery and see if the problem is the esc?

i am still guessing servo and possibly reciever, the bec wouldn't cause it.

update!!
i removed the servo and i tried to turn on the heli with motor without blades..
well if i put the servo near the motor it does the issue, when i put it far away from it it works perfectly...so...now??

look like what I suspected before, interference. I know your ESC is on oppose side of rx, how about the wiring. You may try to re-route motor wiring and rx wirings so that they can at far apart distance from each other. I cannot remember what rx you use.

How many times have you flown this heli? I've seen this problem with low cost servos, typical infant mortality, once you spool power the servo starts twitching badly. In all cases, I identified the servo that was twitching and replaced it. Problem solved. Not saying you are experianceing the same issue, but it sounds like it.

good luck
