I have two questions

1) Tam - are you going to make your rudder and elevator mod (shown in post #32) available? I like what you did.

2) Anyone - The kit comes with 3 plastic pieces. The blk cockpit, a blk fan cover, and a white piece. What is the white piece for?

I can trace it to made template and posted later for you guys to use. I afraid not had time to cut them.

As for other question.
The black cockpit deck need trim and tape inside the canopy.
The black pieces is for stock fan cover.
The white plastic is nose gear door cover.

Do I get commision? LOL.
Good you can do it. I can send the template.

Now just think of it. I need to make it too for P-20 turbine conversion kit.
If I goes to do it. I'll had it CNC cut to save time.

To Tam and the guys who completed one of these, please how did the balance work out and did you do anything to shift the CG from stock? Sorry to read about Tam's maiden, I too was disappointed that the Gremlins mucked up the works! I've got an order in for a PNP unit and look forward to seeing what other mods come out for the Phantom. Cheers! Dana

How did it handle the grass? Seemed like it needed a lot of strip just to get in the air?

Well the nose strut i was using was a little short and the spring was weak so it was sitting at a nose down angle plus i had to much down in elevator. So first take off had to run out a ways to get it up. I have changed the nose gear and now it sits level if not a little nose up. And now that its trimed takes off alot better. As for set up..... ALL STOCK. more videos to come.

Glad to see this plane is finally out, albeit in llimited quantities. I had planned to do one when I first heard about it but I shied away when I added up the cost. I was keen on doing another scale heli but when I added that up, the cost will be the same as the F-4. I wanted to do stock motor, stock fan, stock retracts. Now that it's out and the flight reports are coming in, I just might have to re-think the Phantom.

Tam, sorry about the mishap! It is an unfortunate part of the hobby as we all know. We had two beautiful scale models go in yesterday, just a few days before they were heading to Top Gun. One was a Ziroli P-38 and the other was a T-45 with a JetCentral turbine. I believe the T-45 is fixable but the P-38 is a total loss.

Keep it up guys!

Bummer Tam but I have good news for ya. (I know because I have crashed brand new planes a couple of times) If it's an ARF, and you replace it fast enough, it's like it never happened!

Does anyone have a pic of what the varous bits look like as they come out of the box? Horizon talks about some of the decals not being applied at the factory, and I'm kind of hoping they mean a lot of them.

Well the fuse is nearly fully decorated out-of-the-box. Will be a lot of work to change markings.
