Back 2 more flights

Esc is just cooking , doesn't like tooling around at half throttle. Graph shows temperature dip when full power applied.

2300 watts
102.7 amps
250 F. Temp

The stock placement for esc is not good , no air flow, I took off the plastic around the castle esc just to get better flow , didn't help.

Sorry to hear that James.
Made the mod had ESC behide the motor.
That fix all the over heat problem.
John and Nick over the weeken pushing the Habu 32 over 200mph downwind.
They send me the data log.
The max temp only reach 194F....this is double the power you are using and heat sink are remove from ICE HV120 to kept it light.

Tam, I need a 36mm heatsink with carbon tail for my jetfan and arc 36-65-1 , then I'll move my esc .

fixed, took the heatsink off the esc and then stuffed it between the ducts, very nice fit and doesn't weigh anything now then ran it up in the garage , looked at castle data and

Air cooling from sucking and blowing it work out great.
You don't need that heat sink at all.
That why ran all my without heat sink to save weight and still stay cool at full power.

It is very draggy airframe and you had to be on the throttle most of the flight with stock set up.
I like little more power set up than stock.
P-20 is great because I fly with 80-100% power the whole flight and it get better when I burn off the fuel.
P-20 is about 2700 watts power compare to EDF.

Thanks 420! I don't get how it gets more air there though, the intakes are sealed. I did it on my Habu and will do it on my F4, I just dont get it.

The intake isn't sealed , there is a small gap and I can see my spinner , pulls in air nicely . Dropped temp from over 250F to 129F.

So, just being next to the ducting walls with the airflow through the ducting is enough to cool the ESC? Cool...pun intended.

No, that's not it, took off the heatsink , it won't fit with it on, there is a small gap between the ducts , I swear , I then wedged it carefully between them and ran my wires . It won't do any good just being close to the side ducting, only right between where the air gets sucked through . I'll take a pic
