You guys dont reckon the MT 2216's will handle the Ecilop? All up wight around 2.2 KG.

Even if we called it 2.4KG AUW - thats only 600 grams per motor. About perfect right? Actually the frame with the MT 2216's will be even lighter as the motors are much less weight

Those MT2216-12 will be over the 180W limit with 4s at higher throttle, even with small 10x5 props.

Dunno, but I pointed mine down - seems to make sense for less frame in between aerial and vRX, but then what do I know ?!

Ss V2216 can cary max load with3s 11x7props 1050 right? I dont see anywere recomended to use 4s on them. We tested on the ground with 4s battery. They were hot with 10.4 props. So best is going for 3s batt. But than u will hover with 65-70 % of throttle. That will be about 5 mins?

Have you weighed it? It's not easy to get a loaded Ecilop down below 2.5kg

Better weigh mine again then! - the iPower 2814Q's are only 105g each. - anyway even if it does weigh the 2650g I thought it did, it has huge amounts of spare thrust - with the wood Gemfan 13x4s the thrust peaks at 1900g at 350Watts (4S).

Here is Hexa frame By Sk8robo, project moving on. Got landing gear, frame is sprayed, ecilop gimbal finally on. Still waiting for servos and Giro. Hate Internet shops, who don't tell you when item is out of stock. After order was made i been told that will have to wait over 20 days for arrival, and whatever takes for shipping
At least frame is ready

That hex conversion looks great. I'm interested to see how well it works. Do they sell just the "staedicam" part separately?

Yes, you can buy parts for gimbal from ecilop.tv and build your own copter.
Cant wait to test this frame. Still have to wait for few more parts and set it up right.
