I have confirmation from a developer of MultiWii.
He will do a configuration for the sphere.

thought i might share some of the design ideas for the sphere. this is not currently in the project but a 3D print of the parts might be worth a thought.

The part shown will allow for one servo to be use to control the Yaw control of the sphere.

You could just use ball links and a sliding ring. Might end up lighter too, at the price of a little linearity
[edit] actually, with 3 servos and a ccpm mix there is a setup that can give you yaw, pitch and roll mixing with an arbitrary number of vanes

Some Flap thinking....

Original Servo horn screw to the G10 horn.
3mm rod on center for support.

The Material will be cut from 3mm PVC Foam board, (light but strong), and will be powered using a Thunder Power 2100mAh 3-Cell 11.1V LiPo Battery with a Turnigy Park 300 Brushless Outrunner 1600kv motor. (test motor)
It will pose x3 HK401 Heading Hold AVCS Gyros, and x6 Hs-65hb servos.
Hi guys, nice project!

Can you post some details about the 3mm PVC foam board? Whats the materials density (kg/m), how does it compare to 3mm poplar plywood?
266g for the frame seems to be pretty good, but with all the servos and 200g battery-weight youll need a stronger motor for sure

Edit: 400kg/m seems to be a realistic number for 3mm poplar plywood.

All the best, Michael

Flight controls

Hello Interbreed,

Beautiful workmanship, but I see several concern with your flight controls that must be address in order for your sphere to fly correctly.

Would you like some assistance?

this is an open project..!
So if you have any comments and suggestion they are welcome

I would cut the flaps today.. but wonder if we could Hollow them and put some kind of tape on them.
