6S 3000mah Turnigy with one bad cell

Is there any interest in a new 6S 3000mah 30C Turnigy lipo pack that I purchased for my Trex 500, but apparently it has a bad cell after only 1 use and cycle. The cell is losing voltage slowly and has an extremely high IR compared to the other cells in the pack. It's too late to RMA back to HK but maybe someone is willing to take it off my hands for say $25 shipped in the USA. With the shipping I think this one cost me $50 and now it's pretty much worthless to me. You can make a 5S out of it I guess. I can post pics of the battery and of the charger stats (voltage and IR) if you need. Has an EC5 connector already on it (if that makes any difference to you).

Hi there,

Would you let me know which cell it is? I've been taking them apart. Middle cells are the hardest.

Thanks....

When I measure the voltage on the balance tap, the pins that correspond to this bad cell are pins 6 and 7, so from what I understand that is cell 6. So if you are interested, please do let me know! Thanks!

ive had pretty good luck saving the pack by charging the single cell by itself , charge the battery , then top off the low cell by it self , do a storage discharge cycle and repeat , (ive had to do it 5 x ) but brought the pack back to life , just be careful when charging the pack that it doesnt overcharge , when each cell but # 6 gets around 4.2 stop the charge and top off 6 by it self , good luck ...and be careful !

How are you charging one cell by itself?

Sorry, wasn't trying to hijack, by the way.

I don't feel like messing with this battery, so if anyone can use it make me a reasonable offer and we can discuss.
