I will post the ends later. This internet is slowing down again so I will post the end bell later on. I hve started the work on it and will post progress if interested. I think this kit is well engineered as stated before. Once I get this under my belt,,, I think making WTCs will come much easier to me and the ideas

I am going to take a picture of a pvc fitting I used for testing paint color I want a color that I can see under deeper water. I would love your opinions. It is a loud color. I also have 4 yellow subs, well three and one white and red that was yellow. I want something totally different. that picture is coming soon. Thanks so much for any opinions.

Any chance you could list the sizes of the sections of the hull for this sub? As well as the other outside parts?

I will include the sizes. It is however DVW pipe that is sched 20. as the TEE is not a cleanout but rather a glued tee.

definately gonna need one of these... military subs are great... but with these type you get to play with thrusters and moving bits.. and you can't be wrong

One of the most enjoyable transactions I ever had with RC was with Mike's subworks. What do you think about the flourescent pink? Need opiniions on colors. Wanna see it in low visiable water

I also want to put a camera in it. I got the whole kit, as you can see, the ballast system and the radio. I love the Polk radio. I can control my neptunes from it as well.
I am thinking of painting it flourescent pink or green. I was thinking of orange too.

About the color for visibility in water.

From an underwater photography point of view.
Red is the first color to be lost the deeper you go.
At just 30' the sun light spectrum that makes red is totally gone.
Almost all underwater photos that have a lot of color in them are taken with artificial lighting or at about 0' to 5'.

Here's a web page that shows how colors are absorbed with depth.

I guess I should go with the green or blue. What about teal? I need to rethink colors again. Thank you so much it was a really neat site.

in all honesty, all the "real" research subs i know of are either white with international orange/red details, or bright yellow.

clelia: yellow
delta: yellow
denise: yellow
nautique: yellow

alvin: white
mir: white
shinkai: white
sea cliff: white
turtle: white

there might be a reason...

I agree that the full sized research subs are of three colors orange while or yellow. but at the same time when the Alvin is at her rated depth she couldn't be seen anyway. I was trying to think of a different color as I have three yellows and one white/red. I may try flourescent green. If I hate that color I will redo it in white with orange accents. I agree though there must be something to yellow or white. A lot of scuba stuff is yellow.
