New Product

FPVCommander for DragonOSD (In Development)

I decided to start a dedicated thread for the FPVCommander for DragonOSD that will be soon available.

This mobile app will be a full replacement to the DragonOSD Commander including Waypoint Editor. The Waypoint Editor is currently in development.

I will update this thread with news and information as they become available. Here are some highlights:

Current Development Status: Beta Testing in progress (May 8th 2012)

The app will be available for Android (initial release) and iOS (iPhone/iPad).

- Based on my patented VUAS Liquid Interface UI.
- 2x Multi Function Display - At the moment static but planned to be configurable.
- Automatic Detection of Values such as LiPo's, etc (Minimal Configuration - just start and go)
- All OSD values accessible.
- Different Display Modes - Day/Night/High Contrast.
- Download, e-mail and manage flight logs directly from your mobile device. Requires Google Earth to be installed for display.
- Easy to use input dialogs.
- Waypoint Editor.
- etc.

The software requires a special Wireless Interface Board that connects directly to the DOSD's Serial Interface. The board itself can be permanently installed into the aircraft and comes with a switch, so the board can be deactivated before take-off and activated on the ground. Price is depended on how much the final hardware costs will be.

My target date to release the app and boards is around May 10th, 2012.

Below are some screenshots from a early pre-alpha stage.

Here is a short video of the current version. The board is embedded into my Skysurfer and I am sitting about 10ft away from it.

Sorry for the lag sometimes, but the screen cast is only capturing 20 frames/s. The app runs very fluid on the phone itself.

WOW !!!! looks awesome and it would be majic to be able to make changes at the park on the fly.

It would be even better if my spotter could read the info live via the iphone while we fly.

looking forward to it's release.

Got my cables yesterday, thanks.

Great work this is just what dosd needs!

I guess your add-on board takes its power from the dosd. What happens if you fly with itstill switched on?

I look forward to this and I am about to install Google earth on my phone

good luck with the development
