Biting ankles since '53
I know it is very skilful but that is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. Looks like a two minute radio glitch.
As I say, skilful for sure but not in anyway related to the flowing lines of sloping.

He must have turned the gyro on for those 3 really smooth laps in the middle

Well, most of his erratic flying resembles my DS'ing. The part where he connected some smoothe laps certainly makes me think it would be sweet to see someone try to DS a chopper...

Imagine how many crashes he's had to get that good! He would certainly have the reflexes for ds I reckon

Strange:

Truly strange. This looks like 253 takes of me flying a helicopter, all spliced together and with the collisions with mother earth edited out.

The flying skill involved is fantastic. I've seen Kyle Stacy do similar routines in a confined space (WRAM show in White Plains) with a Gaui 200 and it's hard to believe that anyone or any thing can fly like that.

My only objection is that it totally lacks grace. It has to be the most disjointed looking flight there is.

I wonder if anyone could choreograph something like this so it looks less frantic.

BTW. Kyle practices several hours a day EVERY day. Mostly on sims. I'm sorry I didn't get to ask him which sim and model he preferred.

I'm lucky if I can do something resembling a figure eight in front of myself but most of my heli flying is in my very crammed studio apartment.

Edit: Snuck Justin in before I was finished with this post. I saw him at the WRAM show a few years ago too. He is a bundle of energy. When not flying or walking around looking at exhibits he was running full tilt down various corridors near the flying area. He flies heli's with super control also. Watched him do his stuff with a borrowed Lite Flite Bug that he had never flown before.

Like any first time DSer, he had the problem of not getting low enough into the groove.
