40C is what the battery is capable of discharging, but if your motor doesn't draw that much, it will discharge at a lower rate. So, it shouldn't make any difference to your motor 1400kv motor.
If your motor was drawing more than a 20c is capable of, then you'd need to go to a 30c or 40c to get the power the motor is capable of.
But in your case, you don't really need 40c but it doesn't hurt to have that kind of battery. It won't cause any problems.
