Great review as always!

I would like to know the cost though. The cost of the cheapest walkera lt esc compared to the oversky esc.

Thanks.

Cost: $32.00 - Oversky 7A PnP Brushless ESC for Genius CP/Mini CP
Cost: $15.95- WK-WST-10A-LT (ESC/Converter)

The extra cost is worth it for me.
Also the FET's wear out over time with heavy use on the Walkera ESC's.
I have to replace them after a while on all my helicopters.
I now only use the XP-7A or XP-12A when possible. Never had to replace one either. They keep working great.

Pros: - Oversky ESC/Converter
  • Fully programmable
  • Light weight especially if you direct solder to it
  • Small in size
  • More headspeed then the WK-WST-10A-LT
  • Starts the motor much better than the WK-WST-10A-LT
  • Better timing than the WK-WST-10A-LT
  • Made to run an outrunner motor

Cons: - Oversky ESC/Converter
  • Price

Pros - WK-WST-10A-LT
  • Half the price of the Oversky ESC/Converter

Cons: - WK-WST-10A-LT
  • Doesn't start a BL motor as well as the Oversky ESC/Converter
  • Not made for an outrunner motor
  • Timing isn't the best for an outrunner motor
  • Not programmable unless you send it to astroid-designs to have a custom
chip installed and have it custom flashed from what I understand
  • More weight than the Oversky ESC/Converter
  • FET's wear out over time with heavy use
  • Less headspeed then the Oversky ESC/Converter

I wonder if this esc http://www.bidproduct.com/part/Produ...20ESC_186.html is the same as overskys? it says xp-7a also and is 12.00$

here is a tiny little 3.5 amp for 8.53$
http://www.bidproduct.com/more/cartview.php?id=5452

How many amps do we need if we are using them on the minicp?

C05 Specs.

Weight: 4.6g
Kv: 11500rpm/v
Size: 17mm x 13.9mm
Max current: 6A/60W
Current: 4.2V/0.7A (No load)
Shaft: 1mm
Shaft length: 8mm

You will still need a BL converter for the two ESC's you listed above unless
astroid-designs flashes it for you. We still don't know for sure if the flash
will work on the Genius CP/Mini CP. I plan to test one and find out.
