2nd airplane recommendations

Hi Guys...

I'm getting comfortable with my T-IFO on rudder/elevators and thinking about building something new. So... What recommendations??? Here are my needs:

1. I don't want to get a new radio as of yet, I have a Hitec Neon that I can upgrade to a 4th channel but it's limited to a 3 way switch, so not sure if it can be used effectivly for a control surface...

2. would like to stay in the slower park flyer range with aerelons, elevator (maybe I can use the 4th channel as a rudder, but difficult)

3. would like a ARF... not really interested in building wings up from balsa,

4. something not easy to break... (T-IFO has been nearly indestructable).

5. Not a wing... more conventional type of plane (my family is wondering why my airplane doesn't look like an airplane )

that's about it.... recommendations???

Either Slow Stick or TigerMoth (that really looks like a real plane).

Good Luck,

Since you don't want balsa, you don't want a flying wing and you want ailerons, you're probably best off looking at one of the GWS offerings like the Formosa or E Starter.

I thought the formosa was more of a intermediate to advanced plane, not a beginner aileron plane. E Starter looked interesting, is it an aileron trainer??? I didn't see any reviews on it anywhere....

Any other suggestions??

Nimble with Gimbals
I second the E-Starter. Great little plane. It has a special place in my heart as it gently introduced me to the wonderful world of aileron flight

E-Starter is an excellent aileron trainer at an unbeatable price. I highly recommend it also.

so, how much flight time will I get with the stock setup and 2s1p 740mah lipo?

I am getting 10-12 minutes off my 600mah 8 cell nimh pack, with throttle management. Probably 2s1p 740mah lipo would be around 15 minutes.

But with that pack the plane will be very light and possibly nose heavy.. If you haven't already bought the lipo pack, you might consider a 2s1p Kokam 1500 pack. It is closer in weight and size to a 7-cell nimh pack which is normal for the e-starter, but should give you some great flight times.
