New Brushless motors check it out

Hello All

I just found out that a shop in France has their own line of brushless motor and they only want about $116 for a brushless motor made for helis like the Eco 8(Chronos 16).

The also want about $103 for a 40 amp brushless controller(Flash ! 40 / 60).

Here is the link

http://www.electronicmodel.com/

Here is what I used for the curency conversion

Tell me what you guys think

First example I could think of from Hobby Lobby:
JEP303 Jeti "Phasor" 30/3 Brushless Motor ....... $99.00
JEC403 Jeti JES 40-3P Controller ........ 88.00

The ones you describe don't appear that cheap to me..

Looks like a good deal on the controler at least.
That is if it is useable for helicopter use. The Jeti looks like a steal but isn't a good choice for heli's. Not enough steps between off and full, and would have to be special ordered to eliminate the voltage cut off.

Don't know about the voltage cut off on the flash either. The translated page dose not say.

Hello

I just wanted to tell all of you of another option for brushless motor and controller, nothing else.

Just something to keep in mind, I did not say that is was cheap, It is a brushless motor after all

Just my opinion, but I think that its KV makes the Chronos 16 has more desirable than the Phasor 30/3. My reason is that you need a really high tooth pinion, around 24 teeth, to get anything other than mild hoveing out of your helicopter(assuming it is an Eco 8), and that is near the end of Ikarus' pinion selection. With the Chronos you can use pinions in the middle of Ikarus' selection and not be limited to just a few pinions.

Also, the Chronos looks lighter(the giant cooling hole at the bottom of the motor) than the Phasor.

I dont mean to knock the Phasor, Im sure it is a good motor, I just want to bring this new motor to all of your attentions.

As for the controller, I am unsure of its heli worthiness as well.
