There aren't any on ebay right now, but if you're really desperate you can get all the pieces to put one together from Horizon for only 630 bucks or so.

just getting to grips with the lower wing installation. What a complete faff.
Don't know how long the tapped 4-40 holes in the wing tubes are going to last , with constant assembly/dis-assembly for the car.
Poor design.

Andy: If you bore and tap them through both sides of the tube, they last OK. I leave the tube bolted into one wing panel sort of permanently. The tubes are still available from Horizon. I've been thinking about getting one as a backup, which will insure that my 4 year old one will never fail.

Hi Bob,

Yes thought of that and loctited one wing panel as you say. If I can get it in the car with both lower wings in then that's a bonus.
I've got spare tubes that will fit , just wish i'd got something with a thicker bore so there's more metal to tap into.

We've no spares availability at all in the UK so its direct from the U.S.

Just epoxed to top wing halves together. Gone together nicely and square with no gaps.
The only prob is while the 30min expoy is drying i stood back to admire it and noticed the one wing with the "U" on it is a different shade of green to the other.
Is it suppose to be or is this an error.

They probably used covering from two different rolls. The stuff does tend to vary a little bit from roll to roll.

This is the stuff they supposedly used:

Matched OK on mine, at least so far. Haven't bought any in awhile.

Well its nearly finished. Wings are on. Aileron Servos are standard size futabas but high torgue jobbies. Just the tail feathers and rigging to sort.

Im pleased to say Auw is 8lb 4 oz with everything on. CofG is set at 3.75 and its balances perfectly straight, so I reckon 2-3oz of lead behind the dummy engine will get it slightly nose heavy.

Was expecting some brass tabs to be missing for the rear tailplane wires, but everythings there and correct ??.
Not overly confident and the tab of the fin the glues in the stab, so have pinned with Ali tube to make it more rigid.

Just setting c/f control rods to correct length and then will epoxy the ends on and pin as well to be doubly sure. Need to cyno a couple of guides in the fus to accommodate the extra length of control rod.

She sure looks nice and with the xoar 16x8 spinning she looks lovely.Surprised the wings lined up pretty well, just needed the cabanes to be tweaked a little but otherwise they went on ok.

Was a little concerned about getting in to access the lipos with the top wing on but no probs and it all works quite well.

I have since gone with doculam. 500 ft roll aka lifetime worth for 30 shipped. Goe zonclear and then paint to match.

My sopwith will be lightened and re covered with this stuff in black Maria style.

Just a thought...

Is there an easy way to tension the rear tailplane wires or is it just "on and off" until you get it just right. Its seems only able to adjust the wires once you disconnect from the brass fitting???
