An aerial view of the next World Championship site in Denmark 2013; pretty much in the center of the Country.

I assume a 6pm flight back from Denver on Monday night is well within the "doable" range? Can you guys confirm that the contest will conclude with enough time to get to the airport to make that flight? Thanks in advance!

Yes, a 6pm flight should be fine. We're really close to the airport (10-15 minutes), and we should be done with everything around 3:30 pm Monday.

Please refer to post #222 in this thread:

Trying to get special shuttle services to the sod farm with these hotels hasn't yielded any cost benefit; in fact, it's a bit too pricey. Also, to define a number of "block rooms" requires a signed contract, and that could have penalties.

So, let me review what I posted earlier. I think that the Days Inn is the lowest cost candidate to be the TS "hotel central". If you mention that you're a pilot in the TS contest, they will likely offer you the discounted rate.

As I mentioned before, there are lots of other choices, especially on Tower Road, so feel free to do what is best for you. I will check with the club members, and/or family members who might be free to offer rides.

Days Inn & Suites ($67/day) 303-373-1500 ... 7030 Tower Road, Denver 80249 {free Continental breakfast}
Best Western Plus & Suites ($84/day) 303-373-1600 ... 7020 Tower Road, Denver 80249 {free Full Hot Breakfast}

The next closest communities are Brighton and/or Henderson. I know that there is a Super 8 there with a bit lower rates. I don't know about the drive times to the field; shouldn't be too bad.

I can't find my paperwork to sign up for the event. Is there a .pdf version I can download?

If you need to sign up for the TS, just give Colleen a call... I'm sure she can take care of it over the phone.

There are some pieces of data I need to collect from those registered for the TS:
Your teaming request. I'd like a team name along with that.
If you're not using 2.4ghz, please let me know your channel number.
I assume you're a senior, unless you tell me you're a junior.

If your information on the TS Roster page isn't listed correctly, please let me know.

Just a friendly reminder that the deadline for registration for the High Planes Drifter (the TS warmup contest) is July 31. Registrations are pretty low at the moment, and if we can't get at least 12 people registered, the HPD would be canceled.
So, I encourage you to register soon. The deadline for registration is July 31, but we need to see more interest in this contest, or it'll be canceled due to lack of interest. You can register here.

Don't forget that one benefit of the warmup contest is the opportunity for pilot/timer to be able to practice working together before the big dance.

HPD registration might be light, but there are 34 registered for the TS. Thats awesome guys. Not 50 like Dave and David might ideally like, but a respectable showing of participation from the DLG community. Over 50% participation from those that have qualified too. To me, this is a really good thing.

Can't wait to get out on that grass and do some chuckin.

See you all soon.

I still think we'll see 40 in the final roster for the TS.

Team USA

I am happy to say that the presently reigning Team USA will be competing in the upcoming TS contest.

George Morris (Silver Medal World Champion)
Jun Catacutan
Oleg Golovidov

They are the Best-of-the-Best in America, and you're going to have to beat them to become the next Team USA. Get out there and practice. There are only five weeks left on the count down.

Reminder that the deadline for everything TS related is July 31 -- That's the TS contest itself, the HPD warmup contest, and all food for the contest. If you have any questions on any of this, please let me know.
