Here are some pictures of my FBL fleet. I now have an X2, X5 and 500ESP SDC added, and also some heads have been lowered, since the January 2012 picture. The 550E is now running the Hobbymate HB800 (instead of the Align 3G), and the 450 Pro is using the 3GY v2. The 550E also now has a new canopy (my first with green) and yellow tail fins, to make it a bit more visible in flight. So far I really like it.
New to the fleet is a Walkera Super CP, an ALZRC Devil 450 FAST, and a 700E DFC HV. The Devil 450 is running a VCTRC 3GX (no resemblance to the Align 3GX) which flies well, and the 700DFC HV is flying a MSH iKon running at 7.4 volts. The iKon also flies well. IT has a self level feature, but as yet I'm not seeing any benefit from this, as I'm unlikely to have time to activate it before I crash. If I lost the tail it could be a benefit, as it would keep the heli level all the way to the ground.
All my ZYX's and ZYX-S' are now updated to v4 which has made the ZYX a very comparable gyro to the BeastX. Piro optimize is now actually better than the BeastX, and more like the 3GY v2 and the iKon. Great work from Tarot.
23rd October 2013:
One more FBL heli has been added to the FBL fleet (photo pending). The Gaui X3. I'm getting to like this heli more and more. It flies much bigger than a 450 and looks a lot bigger as well. Gaui have had a few hiccups, but are working through them. I'm running mine on 6S and it has good power.The tail drive is a bit noisy, but bearable, and relocating the TT bearing to close to half way made a big difference to the noise and vibration. Original OWS and TT are holding well. I used HobbyKing red thread lock, instead of the supplied green. In fact I didn't use Gaui's thread lock for anything. I used my usual Tarot 222 thread lock for the entire heli (metal to metal threads only of course).
I'm using a TGZ380 FBL controller on the X3 and it's performing very well. I'm still two minds as to whether I prefer the MB over the vbar. I like some of the extra adjustments of the vbar, but the MB always seems to fly just that little bit better, and I find myself trying to tweak the vbar to be more like the MB. I've gotten close with style at 100, and agility at 90. I'm still using flybar simulation at 20. I think this is very similar to the burst coefficient in the ZYX v4.
23rd July 2013:
Two more FBL helis have been added to the FBL fleet (photo pending). The 425 has been converted to FBL using an X4 head and a FU-Bar/VBar FBL unit. The other addition is a KDS Innova 550E also using a FU-Bar. I really like this heli, and KDS has stepped up in my standings, after hitting rock bottom with the EBar, and how they handled my faulty one. 15 flights on the Innova so far. Lost a tooth on the main gear after 3 flights, but the new one meshed harder seems to be doing fine. Time will tell if it lasts as well as the T550E.
The 3GY v2 (G31) has been shelved due to lack of development from robird, leaving the FBL unit somewhat inferior to my other FBL units, especially in the area of collective response and tail bounce. It's been replaced with a GV8000/VBar. The 500E Pro that had the GV8000, now has a FU-Bar, as the link connection position on the FU-Bar suited the 500 better.

I've decided to no longer contribute much to RCG. I posted here a lot and did mini reviews as a payback/thanks for all that I learned when I first came here.
I think the main reason is because of the RCG plus scheme and the scam that that turned out to be, as a money making venture for the RCG owner. Giving all of the top posters and top contributors free membership for one year and then expecting them to pay to retain plus, was something I can't forgive them for. For one it lead new members to believe that it was a cool thing to belong to, and secondly they expected many would not want to lose the benefits of being a plus member. From the sudden disappearance of plus members at the end of the one year, this idea failed, and I'm glad. The plus status on RCG now means nothing more than you can afford to pay for it. Even if someone is given it, it still means nothing, as no one knows that they didn't pay for it.

It's certainly a fickle heli when it comes to the tail, same as the Gaui X2. Yes I had wag when it was a flybar heli. Even with a GP780 and a DS420. I changed the DS420 to an Ino-lab D201HB and it was much better. Later, I switched to the MKS DS95i (7mm arm) and the tail has been perfect ever since. Now it's FBL and using a Tarot ZYX. It flies really well.
The only real difference with the 250 Pro (other than a nice canopy) is that they have moved the tail servo into the back of the frame. Unfortunately this doesn't leave a lot of room for the rest of the electronics. They are really relying on you using a gyro that only needs a sat.
I'm not sure if you could fit a ZYX-S inside the frame between the tail servo and the motor. If people are fitting the AR7200BX in the 250 (I haven't checked), then I suspect it would fit, with a sat on the outside of the frame.
