No, but I have read on other threads that the 9x was manufactured in a Frsky factory. The 9XR is being manufactured in a different factory.

Sorry I can't remember where this was quoted maybe someone else knows.

9X is Flysky, not Frsky.
The names are close enough for confusion.

Yer killin' me!!

I have one plane under construction and two more in the works, i.e., master plans drawn up and some balsa already purchase. And right now I have NO generic transmitter/receiver combos.

Gotta get me a 9xr asap! LOL!

Good luck at getting in on the first batch!
Being that the time difference is so huge between the US and HK/AUS, i think the first batch will be snapped up by people in closer time zones.

And then wouldn't surprise me if you see them put on ebay with a bit of markup.
Due to it being released so close to holiday season, also wouldn't surprise me if a back ordered unit takes a couple months to get...

Never been any other brand of radio (the I know off) with so much hype about a new model been launched but we not getting any real news about it.
I'm sure some of the big brands are kicking them self on balls and wishing they could create the same hype about they radios, well guys learn it's easy make cheap make it good and make it open to be mod, the rest we take care of it, the clear example the 9X and is the 9XR live up to his predecessor well seen any other radio on a fly fields will be hard.

That would involve one of two things to happen:

#1 for them to put up the item when people in the US are asleep

OR

#2 for time zones to affect reality and events that happen in China actually happen 13 hours afterwards in New York.

Pach -

point 1 is exactly what i ment...
Not sure if your into heli's but when the HK250GT was at $20 they would come in stock when the US was asleep. It would sell out of stock in about 45 minutes at the most. The guys in the US would always be fuming as when they wake up they see the instock email.
After a lot of comments every so often someone would stay back in hobbyking and post the stock late at night (in HK at least).
Being in perth i am in the same time zone, and all the HK communications come during business hours..

When I ordered my 9x three years ago from Hobbyking I had to backorder. It was under two weeks and it was in the mail, not bad.
I imagine part of the delay is manufacturing enough items for the first release. Many will have to backorder, but I bet no one waits too long.

I did the same thing. A couple of weeks for the backorder to fill, and then it's on the way. No sweat!
