Hi guys,

Remember we built this thing to a price. Touch screens are expensive.

We will finally have some finished photos for you within the next 2 weeks as all the plastics are in mass production.

"Mass Production". Let's see how massive the production is when these units are on constant back order. Hey, Anthony, how about a finalized list of features? I'd happily trade some 'plastics pictures' to know what's inside the radio.

Will there be differences? Probably, but no on really knows.

DSM2, DSMX? Only the single most popular 2.4 system out there with access to a huge fleet of BnF and RTF planes wtih your 9XR.

If you want another protocol, you buy a different module. No biggie. Just like the rest of us.
The cheap price is main point to wait 9xR.
Upgrading a 9x with the stuff you said - it's gonna be quite expensive + labour time.
It's easier just buy 9xR with all mods for 50$
Also DSMX is fair better than 9x radio link. At least in theory.

*hopes anthony will have some kind of preorder option for the 9xr, Where its limited to 1 unit per shipping adress*
Bulk sales can be done after the first order waves have been dealt with.

I agree. But I don't think the 9xr will have the same backorder issue that the 9x had if they are making it in-house.

That would be a nice respectfull position trough customers I think.

I doubt it won't! Probably after first batch sold in few hours it will be in backorder forever as the same will probably occur with all new coming batches!

If I can get one from first batch I will be more than happy!

Not very sure about the DSMX part.

Backlight $5 + $3-4 for programmer is not very expensive. Maybe one hour of labour including flashing which I count in the hobby category.

DSMX receivers can have multiple points of radio reception as opposed to one with the regular Flysky setup..

And including DSM2 and or DSMX increases the value of the radio quite a bit as the street value of those modules used is typically $70 by themselves.

Why would I use a so inferior RF system the it needs multiple points of radio reception, and advertise this think as a virtue, not a drawback, as should be ?!
People fly 40 km with other serious RC systems (not UHF) featuring a single reception, not event two, and this system is still praised with such arguments ?

in theory and in practice there is no advantage to dsmx. this from personal experience testing range and noise immunity. in fact there are some technical reasons flysky v2 may be better. of course frsky has the edge on both.

All the higher end 2.4ghz receivers (Hitec,Futaba,Frsky) have two antennas. I dont see how its much different.

Spektrum just typically makes the mistake of putting a short tiny craptastic antenna on the main receiver, like in the AR8000 which pretty much makes it useless in most installations.
I dont understand why they do that when no other manufacturer does.

i dont know why renato keeps saying diversity is unnecessary if thats what is meant. imo it is a significant advantage over single antenna. maybe hes talking about flydream which has fake diversity or satellite rx which has no advantage over antenna diversity.
