Good luck remaining captive in 9XR system for everything that means antennas and RF circuitry, welcome to the plugs jungle.

The good news: these cables can be easily changed to become standard
Could be true!
I had a broken/damaged cable like that on my DIY module, when I swapped it the range more than doubled.
So if instead sending out bad or easily broken cables they send this new ones then there's a good chance you may have more range.

Gorilla glass, that is some good stuff, if that is on the radio that will mean no more scratches on the screen.

They would pursue the manufacturer. Suing your potential customers is always a losing strategy.

If you have the patience i strongly recommend you wait for the 9XR instead of buying a 9X now for your v911's.

The 9XR will be able to change modules so you can fly many more helicopters with it. It also comes with the Modified firmware from the start.

I know im waiting for it heh

Ps. Has there been any update on when the 9Xr will be available?.

be aware you will have to purchase an rf module in order to use it with the v911. you final cost could easily double. a 9x on the other hand will control the v911 out of the box no problem.

But you have to buy a Flasher to get er9x on it, and thats half the cost of a 9X.

Did not know that, Then its just that minor issue of backorder. Seems many Love buying them all up and then reselling them for 2-3x the cost.

Edit: anyone know of someone who modifies the 9x with er9x/backlight/usbasp and doesn't charge a arm and a leg for the work?

PS: why dosnt hobbyking sell premodified ones? it should be very easy to ship them with er9x from the start.
