- Serial data is presented at the correct speed, so RF output is in sync. Non synchronized can produce 1 to 2 frame delays.
- Model match capability
- True 11msec frame rate ( not implemented in the release code, but it does work )

If the HK module only uses PPM it will never have as low a latency as is possible using the DX4e module. If they were clever they will have made their module auto detect the type of signal. Time will tell if this is the case.

Ok, this makes a bit more sence, I just thought it worked like a standard module.

I don't want to "Switch Now"

I did leave out one limitation of the DX4e approach - we are limited to the 6 channels it supports.

But again if HK has been clever the firmware could easily support sending more channels.
And if they used the serial data lines instead of a regular I/O to drive the "PPM" pin and included a return data line from the module using the unused "6 volt" pin in the JR pinout then they could add DSMX telemetry support down the road.

This is the sort of thing that "the developers and hard core users" would have suggested had we been consulted at all

for those interested, i did some scaling on the picture with the 9xr lipo, knowing the center of sticks to sticks is 105mm it was easy.

Or look at the size of the JST connector, or JST-XH

it's a standard 2 pin JST red connector, like the one you get on the 1000mah lipo

I know that. I said to the guy above me to look at the JST connector in the picture instead of the width of the sticks. They might have changed the width. The JST connector is always the same. The JST-XH balancing connector is always the same too!

So I was saying compare it to the JST connector instead because the 9XR might have changed the stick width.

I have a flysky module I want to get rid of when the 9XR arrives.

At least then it would have something to differentiate it from the 9X.
They probably could have saved that $5 by forgetting the interchangeable different coloured fascias.

This was the one mentioned a few pages back, I have already ordered mine since it is only $20 with free shipping (to Aus at least).

For indoor or short range use you can use a Turnigy module, so long as when it was removed there was enough coax left on the board to strip back 31mm and make an antenna like you'd see on a receiver. That's what I use for my indoor heli, and it gives me around a 90m range..

Will 9XR work with 3s LiFe battery? Someone mentioned, that there may be problem with UHF modules, as long as they are using 12v, I have not found menu item to choose battery type, so wondering if LiFe battery will be ok.
