I have made so many long distance call to my parts supplier... and they are kind of slow due to the long Labour holiday from 27th to 1May (Fri to Tue). But all parts have been sent and I am still waiting...I believe will get them all in about 1 or 2 more days.
Next time when I start group ordering, I will prepare enough parts from my suppliers, just to prevent any delay of shipping like this time...Sorry to keep all of you waiting...
Just received it and partially assembled it. I'm not going to be able to fully assemble it tonight as I have to solder some leads of wire before I can assemble it with the FC, esc, and everything else.
I ordered this before realizing it was being made in china. Now, after receiving it, it makes sense.
The good before the bad:
It's nice carbon, the parts are light, and everything is there with multiple options for FC mounting. It can mount larger and smaller boards (Including the smaller Afro Naze board) with pre-drilled holes for mounting the board square to the frame or rotated 45 degrees like some boards (ala Free Flight) like to. A nice FPV engraved piece of carbon is included to cover the FC provided you have extra risers. There were not enough included to mount both the FC and the cover plate, but they're cheap anyways. The camera mount is nice, and the rubber mounts do move freely. Motor mounts are well made, although still with ABS plastic, and the mount and tube allow you to hide the motor cables. The reason I can't full assemble it tonight is I need some lengths of cable to run them down the tube
Now the bad.
The boards and tubes, while they are carbon fiber, look like it was quickly made and stuffed into the bag it came in. There is material that is hanging off the parts that needs to be sanded. Holes need to be cleared of epoxy and fiber, and some drilled larger (like the camera mount) to accommodate the screws. The side of both my plates were scuffed when they arrived since everything is placed in a bag and shipped.
I still can't wait to get it in the air. Unfortunately I won't be able to for probably a week or so.
I'll post pictures in a few minutes.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice frame! It's not turn key, and takes some work to make everything fit and to look good. I did, however, find a few spots with bubbling (The plate that holds the gopro). I'll post a picture of it assembled when it's ready. I included a picture of the motor mount because it looks sweet
