I only had a flight today, my V120D02S crashed and broke the skids as I tried to transition it from inverted back to upright. It just wasn't behaving lately as the tail held badly. I saw a person in his fifties doing some really good 3D in the small mini-soccer pitch where I was flying. I was surprised because I didn't think anybody would dare fly a 450 there beyond hovering.

Took the Honeybee v2 and Ufo out for 2 consecutive Days now, and have finally mastered the Honeybee (slow-average speed forward flight, figure 8s).
I'm really enjoying the Bee now and finding it good fun and a bit of an oddity. I think I will be spending more time on the Bee than my CP Birds for a little while longer. |

Moving Outside!
Still too much snow to fly the soccer field and too many puddles to brave the driveway. But spring has finally come and the weather is spectacular! I took advantage of sun and 60 degrees to fly my Walkera Genius CP around the porch. It handles the breeze better than my former Blade 120SR for sure! Having a little down in the mix is wonderful! Having spent all winter learning to hover the Genius in my livingroom, I'm pleased to say I can do careful circuits around the porch. There's a little risk though - a couple of times it's slid under the railing and dropped to the driveway, which is far from dry. All the same, love that sun and totally love the Genius. I tried the V120D03, bumped the bench, exploded the rotor and now I'm waiting on a blade grip from RTF Heli. Genius survives better. I'm saving the V120s for the soccor field. |

Flew a pack on the King V2 before work and then brought the model to work with me, so maybe I'll fly at noon in the parking lot :-)
Edited to add: Well flying at noon yesterday didn't work out but I did get a pack in at dusk... |

Bless the MCPX
Got in two or three packs each day this week in the morning after taking my son to school at the Church near the house. Only crashed into the street 3 times this week...
Sometimes I get to fly in the afternoon, too. I carry 3 MCPXs, charger, DX6i, spares, tools, etc.-- a complete kit in a rather small container. |

Did the extended tail boom mod for my mCPx today.....
Just 2 packs to do a test-fly......kinda breezy...nothing heavy...... Tail held like a champ!! No problems with wind -- a brief gust sent my little "Angel II" skyward more quickly than expected a couple of times....but no biggie to bring her under control!! Anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 130X (aren't we ALL????!!)!! Meantime.....my 'cpX will keep my flying skills honed until our club field is groomed this weekend.....Then......it's 450X time!!! |

Today I learned that if you ignore an RX which smokes and smells eventually it just dies. I still got through 4 packs tho.
