Camera Image Stabilizer

Panasoinic is coming out with a new camera that has an optical image stabilizer. Would this be nice to have on all cameras.

See it at dp review

Now all we need is some specs. Leica lenses though, thats a definite plus. Only thing that would make me salivate more would be Zeiss lenses.

Nice to see that idea incorporated into some smaller cameras. My Olympus C2100UZ has an image stabilzer which is a real bonus at full telephoto (10x optical zoom). But there's no way I'm putting that camera in the air..... Instead it gets used for, among other things, taking pictures of planes in the air.

I would love to know the weight on these cams. Could be a contender.

Looks a little heavy for the typical SS setup. The specs I found put it at 5.8 oz

Yep, that's just a little porky for the SS/Wingo type. Could be done, but porky.
