Video: Endless Aerobatics with Le Fish light

Here is a clip from last Friday flying at Mormon Lake Overlook. My Le Fish light was fully powered in gusty 10-20 mph wind from the WSW... setting up the right side mini-bowl for endless aerobatics.

Beginning to sound like a broken record here..., but that was so great to watch Dawson - your skills never cease to amaze me, and that "Best Flip of the Day" was stunning. You make it look waaayy too easy! Thanks for posting, and nice tunes too!

Fantastic! How do I love this? Let me count the ways:

1. Very sexy down-line rolls, particularly when they terminate with a heart-stopping inverted pull-out

2. Sound track was spot on.

3. That save after the touch-and-go !

4. Flips are introduced late in the day, giving them huge impact, in that you don't expect this pane to be capable of that, given the smoothness of the rest of the flying up to that point. Then, suddenly, wham!

5. SMOOTTHHHH like hot chocolate...

let's FLY!

Cool What a great place you have there to fly. I need to start some deforestation projects here on the slopes of the Green Mountains....we have way too many trees

I'm hoping someday my flying looks so effortless.

Now, isn't that more fun than flying in a "box"?

Loved it Dawson! This has got to be one of your best yet!! Your flying shows the smooth, silky polish of someone who flies these planes at these spots nearly every day. I love it!! That save was so great, too. Such a different vibe from what I did today, fly PSS and moldies in 40mph++. Still totally rad!!

Brilliant uncut aeros!

You are the master of that style of flying.

It's not super lightweight flying like Swiss Peter- you've still got weight there to carry momentum, and it's not big airstuff either.

It's Dawsonesque!

I put a post about this on Modelisme so our French friends can see it too, I think they will be stoked!

Dawson's unique style is really special, I never get tired of it. I love how we are all flying aerobatics but the end result is all so specific to our particular temperaments, flying sites, and preferred gliders.

Very sweet... more and more it makes me want a LEG Le Fish

I had no idea they had a regular and light edition; anywhere I can find the dif between them?

Its amazing what you can do with pure energy management and plane setup.

Coming from a powered 3d world where more control surface throw and tons of wattage can make up for poor skills, you can't hide it in sloping!

Read these, should answer all your questions, even the ones you don't know you have yet

IMHO slope aerobatics is possibly the most challenging form of aerobatics. No motor, constant strong wind, heavy unpredictable turbulence. Pretty cool in my book!!

Steve,

I agree, I have been enjoying the slope (since DLG is costly), I enjoy my Bee and its smooth slope aerobatics and how its not forced like my 89" Slick (back in the day) where you just slam sticks and metronome time it.

So I had read your Swiss Fish thread; but I thought that the Le Fish on LEG had 2 versions? or is it just how its built.
